Probably the best tour guide in the World!!!
As a 41 year old Brit with blond hair, blue eyes and a British passport, I don’t exactly blend in very well & was somewhat apprehensive when I approached the Afghanistan border from Tajikistan. I shouldn’t have worried!!
Sami was there waiting for me as promised & I was instantly reassured as soon as I met him. He is extremely organised, punctual, friendly, has great cultural knowkedge & is highly professional. Most importantly, he knows the exact protocols (permits, Pashto language – which many guides don’t speak – etc etc) necessary for safe travel in Afghanistan. He also has a great sense of humour & is so much fun to spend time with. If you are lucky enough that Sami has availability, it will be the best travel experience of your life! I couldn’t recommend Sami any more highly.

Myself and two others had the pleasure of hiring Sami for our recent Afganistan tour. Throughout the whole process prior, Sami was very responsive and clear on what we should expect. He picked us up at Torkham in his nice vehicle and we spent about almost a week together touring Kabul, Bamiyan and Band Amir. I flew out from Kabul while Sami escorted one of our group to the Tajik border.
We had an incredible time with Sami from start to finish. Many people debate whether they need a guide or would rather travel independently. I know for certain we were able to do things with Sami that simply could not have been done independently. In addition, a great deal of precious travel time was saved in not having to deal with permits and transportation every day. Checkpoints were a breeze and we were able to have meaningful conversations with locals and officials with Sami translating for us. It simply would not have been the same trip without a great guide like Sami.
Afganistan is a breathtakingly beautiful country and it is truly an exceptional travel experience.

We had a wonderful time with Sami around Afghanistan. Very friendly, knowledgable.
He arranged the permits for us to visit the country without any issue. He came all the way to the Tadjik border to pick us up and helped us the get visa on arrival much faster than what we could have done by ourselves.
Also he speaks Dari and pachto which was a very nice addition, and allowed us to get some special permission for a women (my travel partner) to take picture of the blue mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif, after some long talking with officials there – which in itself was a very interesting moment as well.
We visited then Kabul, Bamyan, Band-e-Amir, Herat… Sami always made his best for us to feel confortable and I’m forever grateful for those incredible moments spent in his company.
Also worth to mention that he really facilitated our crossing to the Torkham land border in direction of Pakistan , which is very chaotic and dodgy… making the process much faster and easier for us.
Sami thank you so much for everything you are such an amazing guide I’m looking forward to come back to Afghanistan!!

Sami is an amazing professional.
He is very expert in what regards Afghanistan travel, tours, documents and authorizations and beyond.
He knows exactly what is needed to travel to Afghanistan and can advice you since the day 0 if you are preparing a trip to Afghanistan.
Sami can prepare all the permits needed to Afghanistan in case you travel solo and can organize an amazing Tour in case you don’t have your own vehicle which we recommend- we were on a motorcycle – our own motorcycle travelling 2 up husband and wife.
He prepared everything in advance to our trip. He is really a person you can rely on!
You don’t need to worry about anything else.
